Thandie Hits Town

The lovely Thandie Newton hosted the launch of the British Designers Collective at Bicester Village yesterday, guests included Harold Tillman CBE and Chairman of the British Fashion Council.

Thandie Newton: “I am delighted to be working with Bicester Village supporting young British Designers. The British Designers Collective is such an innovative way of giving new talent such an important ‘window’ “

Holly Fulton: “The BDC offers a great opportunity for new designers like myself to retail their excess stock to a huge consume audience-its a fantastic opportunity and one that has generated great revenue in the past for those participating. I am always keen to be involved with my contemporaries in group endeavours and to be honest, I am a bit of a fan of Bicester so it validates a day trip-purely for research purposes naturally!”

Jonathan Saunders: “The BFC are extremely supportive of British talent and this pop up store is a great opportunity for young designers to showcase collections not normally available to them. Bicester Village has become a massive success promoting many of the biggest fashion houses today and we are really happy to be part of this project”

Spotted! The above far right left dress. What a gorgeous mix of reds in this tie die number. I like very much!

Harold Tillman Chairman of the British Fashion Council CBE: “The British Fashion Council is pleased to announce our collaboration with Bicester Village on the ‘British Designers Collective’ store. As an organisation it has always been top of the agenda to offer British designers support and commercial direction in order to grow their businesses. We feel that this scheme is a very exciting opportunity for the designers involved.
