So I’m entering The Look Show AW11 blog competition to be the best blogger in the Universe!! They have asked me why I want to win so here goes!…
Littleladylookbook is a blog for the real girl, I show real fashion and inspiring outfit ideas, all which I would wear myself. From my first little post blogging on Littleladylookbook about Mulberry’s new range during Christmas last year to posting about the latest crazes from fashion week I’ve sure come a long way. I’m sure my readers can vouch that I give them up to date information on the latest trends, new additions to have in your seasonal wardrobe that I know they will love, reviews and information about the latest hot spot boutiques (Why give all the big companies all the credit?!) all as well as little text as possible (If I don’t like reading I’m sure you lot won’t!) plus a few added extras from me to give my blog a more personal touch. How many bloggers can actually say they never take anything off the internet that isn’t theirs and hasn’t been given to them? Not many! I search high and low for the latest fashions to give you!
In less than a year I’ve gained a high profile on Twitter and developed my posts into what readers want – An inspiring picture and a little information – It can go a long way to influencing what a girl wears and how someone feels and that’s what my blog is all about. I even add a mens post from time to time!
Save a seat for me front row and I’ll show you how fashion can be blogged to the real girl!
It’s all about squeaky clean girliness with these looks from the Fearne Cotton Catwalk collection available at Very
Pretty, Feminine and geeky chic. Fearne Cotton launched her SS’11 Fearne Cotton Catwalk collection in January for Very.co.uk
What could be more geek chic than bows, headbands and white socks? This look is all about making geek look chic and up to date with new trend led pieces. The girly combination mixed in with the rebel-esque platforms, dirty socks and green nail polish is what makes it unique and oh so cool.
Here the same look is combined with pretty pattern detailing on the hem of the dress which was big at SS11 Fashion Week with designers such as Hermione de Paula bringing prints to life on swishing hems.
The feminine cloud splattered print on this dress, the rose detail heels and perfectly positioned bow work so well in contrast with the edgy tattoo and dirty socks. The look rebels against normal pristine girly trends and reminds me of a days play in the fields with her fresh young look – A look I’d like to see more of.
This look is more polished than the others with a simple shift/wrap dress you could wear for work too – with the underskirt showing slightly you could take this covered up sexy time look to night too by adding a clutch and heels.
And here is the creator herself Fearne Cotton in a VERY good look.
New Look are always way ahead of the trends in terms of runway looks, wearable pieces and affordable prices.
You’ve probably seen the hip new advert for their summer festival collection for every starlet, siren and stylish young lady out there. Their summer range shows off this seasons must have shoes and wedges to flatteringly cut jeans and key styles of dresses, all hot off the runway. The women’s range includes all styles from the super-chic to artsy bohemian, to vintage women’s clothing and glam rock chick glitz.
Floral blouses and tape yarn cardigans are part of the “Garden Party” trend with white being the dominant shade of the season. Their pieces show you how to team your white unlined blazer with super bright blouses for the perfect Spring workwear. Key colours include pillar box red, electric blue, bright purple and sunshine yellow…

Fearne Cotton wears the All Over Bow dress to the Glamour awards
Fearne looks stunning at the Glamour awards wearing the Mulberry All Over Bow dress gorgeously with nude platforms, minimal jewellery and sparkling champagne not that much is needed! It’s so gorgeous and unique I can feel my knees giving way at the sight of it! The bows are handmade in five different sizes, starting at the top of the dress and gradually getting bigger as they head towards the hem – perfect for Fearnes little frame. The dress opens and zips up at the left-hand side, which allows the huge floppy bow on the back to stand out against the skin of the wearer – adorable!
FACT: The dress is made of 22 metres of midnight blue 100% silk crepe. The fabric itself is gossamer-fine, but the sheer volume of fabric and the work means that all together, the dress itself weighs a stone!
You don’t need a prince to steal the limelight…

With that in mind I bring you these replica pieces straight off the high street…you’re bound to get the royal treatment at a snippet of the cost! Recreate Kate’s style that made her one of the most iconic fashion royals of the moment with this stunning silk sapphire dress from Sainsburys and the replica ring from Marks & Spencer.
The Do’s and Dont’s of Kate’s style
- Don’t show too much flesh – knee length is best
- Do create tumbling shiny curls to the ends of your hair for richness
- Do match simple accessories to your outfits, princesses don’t overpower
- Don’t buy into trends, dress to what you know suits your body shape
- Don’t be afraid to go casual, Kate doesn’t always dress in jackets, hats and heels
- Do replicate Kate Middleton’s stunning oval sapphire and diamond engagement ring, famously worn by Princess Diana, from Marks and Spencer.
