Bikini Bonanza

It’s holiday season!

Whether you’re after a bikini to cover, to flaunt, to play sports or just relax, here are my picks of the most flattering, useful and cute beach wear around!

***

Pretty In Pink

For the Girly Girl

The ruffles will add texture and detail where you are the most slimline and where you will want to attract the most attention – the shoulders and collarbone, with the extra detail giving weight on the thighs too to boyish shapes. You can remain tan line free with the slip of the shoulder strap in this ASOS bikini and this colour really brings out a tan wonderfully a perfect bikini for an exotic summer vacation.

ASOS Petal Ruffle One Shoulder Bikini Top £16 & ASOS Petal Ruffle Tie Side Bikini Pant £12

For the beach conscious…

But not afraid of colour

This bold blue swimsuit is perfect for those who aren’t ready to get their tummy out but don’t want a boring tummy hugger in subdued colours! The smooth layered front detail will hide a multitude of sins and give your tummy a toned appearance without ever having to hit the gym.

Control Swimsuit £27, Kaleidoscope

For the…Floozie

In retro flower power prints

This Frill halterneck top will add an extra cup size onto the less endowed and add some booty to the bottom half too. The cute rose print is ultra feminine for lazying by the pool and with the lace is a bit more dressed up  than your normal silky textured plain patterened bikini.

For the Sports fanatic

Simple yet sexy

I love the modern twist front top of this bikini and love how retro the colour is too. The thick sides are perfect for those wanting a little extra cover up and the top is as small as they go for bandeau styles ,yet is supporting at the same time with its tight back, perfect for shell collecting or Volleyball!

Bikini from Urban Outfitters

For the ones who take pool side fashion to another level

This funky printed all in one with chest split is for the fashionista in all of us! I love the tropical print and retro design. I prefer to have an even tan, but for those who aren’t too fussed this is perfect. The supportive cups and thicker straps are perfect for swimming or playing sports on the beach and makes a nice change to the skimpy numbers seen everywhere at the moment including on here!

For the poolside reader

And hard-core tanner

Again…no strap lines! At one time the spaghetti straps we all the rage, thank heaven the bandeau has made its grand come back and is available to all those who don’t want the ugly ‘white bits’ anymore! The rose pattern is stunning, and with the white background it really makes the colours pop for a tropical/vintage feel.

ASOS Tapestry Rose Print Bandeau Bikini Top & ASOS Tapestry Rose Hipster Bikini Pant

For the Playful and chic

If you’re lucky enough to want to make yourself look bigger in the sun then this ruffle bikini is for you. The simple black colour is perfect for everyday and the tie straps on the briefs are perfect if you’re going all-inclusive! The ruffles will add more body and the pretty bow in the middle adds a lovely girly touch if you think black is too harsh.

Socks and Charms

As the weather warms remove a layer!

Pixie shoes, charms, over the knee socks, textured skirts, basic tops and baggy cardigans. It’s all you need.

It’s too warm for knee high boots so ditch these and opt for the biggest carry on trend of the season: the over the knee sock, instead. Once only related to school girls and the famous, now this quirky fashion trend has been incorporated into girls wardrobes everywhere and I love it!

TIP: Try out different lengths as not all may suit your body type but don’t be afraid to work colour texture and pattern either.

What A Colour

Dress up any day or night of the week with watercolours, the trend of Spring.

Vintage flowers designs in lightweight silk are key to looking fresh, cool and feminine when the weather starts to warms up. This dress from House Of Frasier captures the new watercolour trend and accessorizes perfectly without overpowering the look. The best thing about this new trend is that it suits almost all skin tones and hair colours due to the different colour combination and can be added in small amounts in your wardrobe at little cost!

 Skinny Belts

The unfashion-conscious peeps wear belts to

1. Keep their pants up

2. keep their shirts tucked in

3. Hang a mobile from

We wear belts because they are right on trend.

Wide, thin, embellished, ribbon, buckled, studded, elastic, western, leather … a belt can instantly update your outfit from wearing one to add a colour break or for pulling an outfit together.

They can be worn low on the hip , under the bust or more recently worn at the smallest part of your waist to complement dainty dresses and tuck in cardigans and floaty tops.

Fashion tip: Buy an extra long skinny leather belt and wrap it around your waist a few times for a more unique look or wear more than one…Because you can. LLLB
